The Family Research Council wants to know what you think of them
Who knows why, but they're askin':

http://resonateresearch.com/frcsurvey

I was civil enough not to unload on their dog-beating founder, who thinks waggling your dingus in front of your kid will keep him from turning out "funny". So, maybe they'll actually read more than the first few lines of my reply before shitcanning it.

1. Thanks, that was fun.
Cutting and pasting "Separation of church and state" as many times as possible. :D

2. They represent the basest form of humanity.
The fact that they still exist is a testament to the misguided application so many Christians use for "tolerance".

There are better examples of productive members of society on the sex offender registry.

It is a difficult choice between the FRC and pedophile priests for the prize of "most detrimental to the world's children."

I got more...

6. I told them how I honestly feel about them.
I apologized but said I think of them as bigoted, backward, apologists for domestic violence, especially against children, for subjugation of women to their spouses, for hatred against non-heterosexuals.

7. I let them know they were dangerous
for legislating as much of their theocratic agenda into governance, culture, commerce, medicine, and science as they can get away with; keeping the electorate in a state of anger and perpetual aggrievance; enforcing the idea that being a "good" Christian requires fidelity to a reactionary ideology.

8. You guys aren't ones to waste an opportunity
:)

Maybe GD would enjoy being surveyed. I think I'll repost there.

9. I did this unsolicited 8 years ago
The only result: they put me on their mailing list and it was a long time before they finally took me off of it. So proceed at your own risk :)

I told them they represented everything that I find loathsome in America.

13. I can't see any reason to let them know what their ideological opponents think:
it could only help them hone their message

14. I hear Dobson on the radio sometimes.
He's all over the Fundie station out here, (K)KK-LA. Has an interview show in the morning when I'm going to work. Sometimes he interviews various members of his family, who all seem to work for FOTF or his other scams.

He recently interviewed some loony Fundie woman who claimed to be an occult expert. (This was around Halloween, natch.)

IIRC, she said one sign of demonic possession was a kid having red eyes.

I think if my kid had red eyes, I would probably take him or her to a DOCTOR, not a frigging exorcist.

That was a refreshing break from Dobson's usual obsession with teen sex. Personally, I think the old bastard is a walking Amber Alert.
