The Rapture event could also include the removal of all evidence of those that have been Raptured. No birth, baptism or marriage records, no school records, no newspaper evidence, no employment records, etc.

If someone was married to someone and the spouse was Raptured the surviving spouse wouldn't know they had been married. If they had kids the records would show that the spouse was not married and hospital records would not show any other parent to the kids.

1. I'm trying to get this rumor started, mostly because it's something to smack fundies with:
"You didn't rate! God himself left you behind!"

Bwahaha!

2. Last night I called fundie friends on the east coast to let them know *I* still had a chance.
Of course, they thought that this was a whackjob prediction as well, but at least I got my digs in....

3. The naked bodies flying up into the air should have told them
but another thing these fundies don't consider is the rest of the math of the bible, that only 144,000 people in the entire several million year history of humanity were pure enough to gain entrance to heaven.

That means hell is going to be absolutely packed.

Don't despair, believers. Falwell is already there and working on his sermons to convince you all it's really heaven, just a bit warmish.

4. They would never consider it
The Rapture plays into their holier-than-thou/revenge fantasies because what's the point of being best buds with Jesus in the clouds without all the heathens seeing it?
