Throughout the year and especially from October 31st till November 15th we hold several seminars on various helpful topics -- JesusWeen website

  • Create your own homemade sheep costume! (FUN!)

  • Children, put the imagination God gave you to good use and think just like us

  • Girls, Mary Magdelene was NOT a disciple or the wife of our Lord; she was wearing a disciple costume

  • God did NOT give us candy so we would dress up like Satan

Now we have Jesus Ween...

Really???!!!??? Ween?? Seriously. Do they have any ability to google terms before they use them???

I swear, by the election, the GOP is going to put their lot in with a dark horse candidate named Michael Hunt or F. Elch....

I, for one, don't think it is appropriate to celebrate a major religious figure's "member" Guess I'm a prude.

14. The churches have been trying to kill Trick or Treat for years.
They have alternative celebrations where you are not supposed to dress up like a witch or a devil, them's SAAY-TAAAN-ICKK!

You're supposed to look like a bible character, like you just walked out of a J.C. Penney's towel sale. They have hay rides and some quaint custom called trunk or treat involving car trunks in the parking lot.

I do trick or treat every year because I think trick or treat is good. I even made my own witch's robe last year. Found a book on pattern drafting and used it!! Got some weird prescription contacts with colors in them and spray painted my hair. And used glow in the dark nail polish.

And the xtians are scared to death that the kid might wanna dress up like a devil or a witch to just do a little role playing and be a different person for a night!!

We can't let kids have an imagination. That is bad. :sarcasm:

That's the way the churches think. And you are not supposed to do yoga (that's evil) or meditate.

16. Truly, Teh Stupid does burn
Why must these people be such Morans?

They call themselves "non for profit". No, you idiots, you are either a "non-profit" or "not-for-profit".

Do they have the faintest fucking clue that "ween" is non-sense? It's "een" you fuckwits! As in "All Hallow's E'en", i.e., the evening before All Saints Day. Ugh, I hate them.

17. Nerd alert: you know what really upsets me about this?
Edited on Thu Oct-06-11 03:21 PM by Proud Public Servant
"Halloween" is derived from "All Hallows Eve," the day before "All Hallows Day" a/k/a All Saints Day: All Hallows Eve = Hallows' Eve = Hallows' E'en (and archaic contraction of "evening") = Halloween. So in this oh-so-clever alternative, their replacing the first of the two words with "Jesus." But...but...

THEY LEFT IN THE FREAKING "W"!!!!!!

It should be "Jesuseen." Unless they're trying to wean people off Jesus, in which case I approve but will have to go all Spelling Nazi on their asses.
