LAKELAND - When it comes to settling the nasty battle for control of Atheists of Florida, EllenBeth Wachs has placed her faith in the legal system.

Wachs has filed a Circuit Court lawsuit in Hillsborough County accusing eight people associated with the statewide atheist organization of defamation.

"I sued because they accused me of stealing," Wachs said Wednesday.

The lawsuit is a backdrop for an all-out fight for control of the organization. Two factions are battling for control of the group's leadership, its website and a $100,000 bank account.

2. That would be a fair question if that organization had no position on religion.
But you already know its position.

3. Do we post a new thread every time some religious believer has been accused of..
stealing money from the church?

If so, I missed all those threads.
