Here's a proposal for the Fundamentalists

Since the rapture is coming soon, what with the war in the Middle East, it seems that most of you Christian Fundamentalists will be leaving the rest of us behind. Moreover, all of the Fundamentalist Christian political candidates will be taken up with you, and won't be able to fulfill their terms in office (if elected).

So this election year, why don't you just stay home and wait for the second coming. The rest of us who will be left behind would like to choose our own governmental officials. Have a great voyage and enjoy the Kool Aid.

1. They have gone up on the mountaintop and returned so many times

over the years. It is easily dimissed as a lack of faith. I'm hoping they will go whole hog this time and stay on the mountaintop. It might be easier for them to live there, now that the snows are melting.

3. right. what I don't understand re: fundamentalist politicians

is why would htey be needed? I mean, if God is all powerful and the rapture is coming, why would a group of politicians enforcing religious laws upon the "heathens" make a difference? In other words, do you feel you need people like the Bush family to create the events leading to Armageddon and if so, why?
