The beautiful new 49er Stadium in Santa Clara

These are illustrations of the proposed 49er stadium in Santa Clara which if everything goes well should be ready to play in around 2014. It's a beauty huh?..Puts that monstrosity and dedication to greed built by Jerry Jones to shame.

Sadly it appears the York family has no architectural style.

Sad, that it looks like a generic knock-off of M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

3. Architectural style?
Is that what this is all about? ...At $1.15 billion, it's nothing but a monument to excess.

2. "Well I think it looks like a gigantic lavatory!"

I agree with mad, it looks pretty generic to me. Nice, but generic. Still, far better than what they have now.

5. Upper decks shoved up and back so luxury boxes have unobstructed view. No overhang. Fuck it. nt

8. The pictures may be small
but the plans are big for the proposed 68,500 seat stadium in Santa Clara. There are a lot of hurdles yet to cleared though...like a city wide vote on the proposed 114 million in public funding and then there are a few San Francisco politicians that are currently threatening a fight to keep the 49ers from moving down the peninsula.

However, if and win the project is completed, it will be just one more step in the 49ers sure to be successful return to the pinnacle of pro football.
