Ravens receiver Mason retires from NFL
35-year-old played 12 seasons with Tennessee, Baltimore

Wide receiver Derrick Mason abruptly announced his retirement Monday, a decision that has surprised and confused the Ravens and teammates.

Mason, the Ravens' No. 1 receiver the past four seasons, was entering the final year of his five-year, $20 million contract and was seeking an extension

I could care less how the ravens do. To laugh about the death of Steve McNair is disgusting.

BTW, my team has been to the Super Bowl EIGHT times.

I have tons of respect for Steve McNair - he was our nemesis.

But Mason retiring leaves them in the lurch, I'd say.
