Champions League Qtr-Finals.
There are eight teams left in this seasons competition:

AC Milan, Juventus, Inter, Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Lyon & PSV.

AC Milan: For me, Milan are the favourites. They simply have no big weakness. They have one of the best GK's in the world - Dida. An incredible back four - Cafu, Nesta, Stam & Maldini, incredible! A decent midfield as well - Pirlo, who is underrated, IMO. Gattuso, such a hard worker, always gives 110& for the team. Seedorf, how he gets overlooked by van Basten in the Dutch NT is beyond me. And Kaka...I don't need to say anything about him.

I mentioned they don't have a big weakness - but one slight problem, perhaps, is they may be too reliant on goals from Shevchenko - although this was especially noticable at the start of the season. Crespo, Tomasson & Inzaghi are good players, but don't come close to Sheva's skill.

And finally, they have an excellent bench - Abbiati, Costacurta, Ambrosini, Dhorasoo, Rui Costa (!), Inzaghi, Tomasson...decent lol

I will write about the other teams in the future, I feel tired now...

1. I'm going with Bayern Munchen because I'm a Bayern Munchen fan
I think Oliver Kahn is the worlds best goalie if his defensive backfield is playing mediocre soccer(or Football).

9. Chelsea
Bayern are up against Frank Lampard, John Terry & co. Given that with the exception of Norwich City English clubs can't beat bayern I think you've got a good chance.

I do not expect Liverpool to go through, and I'm totally bemused how PSV, with that great big overpaid donkey Sibon in the side are in the quarter finals!

4. Do you know anything about the TV listings (US)?
ESPN or ESPN2 used to have them until fairly recently, but I think they lost the contract. I'm not sure if it's on ESPN Deportes or Fox Sports World, neither of which I get.

6. They're still on ESPN2
The Chelsea-Barcelona match was on last week, for instance.

7. Quarter-final pairings released!!!!
1. Liverpool vs. Juve
2. Milan vs. Inter
3. Lyon vs. PSV
4. Chelski vs. Bayern Munich

then in the semis it's the winners of 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3

Hoping that Milan will beat Inter on the away goals rule again!

First leg is April 5 and 6.

8. Dejected Arsenal fan here ...
Not that I was silly enough ever to get my hopes up re Europe.

Having trouble deciding who to support from here on ... I'd probably say Liverpool if it looked like the Aussie Harry Kewell likely to take any part in it. But that's always a big IF.

Maybe I'll go the French team, Lyon. I've heard a lot of soccer experts tipping them as a team very capable of springing a surprise. They've won the French championship the last three years and, as an Arsenal fan, I guess going French might be my best option :-)

Great to find a thread in here about European soccer. I don't visit the sports threads too much, but I'll have to come back more often if there's Champions League talk going down!
