I don't think I'm a Roid Sox fan anymore. I'm really bummed. I just wonder if Todd Helton was on that 2003 list.

2. Matt Herges
Herges appeared in the 2007 World Series as a member of the Colorado Rockies, where they were swept 4-0 by the Boston Red Sox

According to the Mitchell Report, Kirk Radomski said that he made two or three sales of human growth hormone to Herges.

7. But Herges was with the Padres and Giants in 2003-2004.
I can rationalize too.

:sarcasm:

4. Stop trying to make sense!
That's the stupidity of this...apparently if they were caught before it was illegal, they must have been doing it all the time...I can't wait until the Red Sox win it all this year.

6. Stop what?
Pointing out that there are 100 more names...and those can't all be on the Red Sox, although apparently some peope think they're the only team to have benefitted.

10. Absolutely not
Steroids are one thing, but the Rockies never held the lead in one game of that series. They got their asses completely kicked in a way that steroids alone cannot explain. As far as I'm concerned it was the best WS ever, and I hope we get a rematch this year ;) But, no, the Sox were far and away the superior team, not to mention the fact that 'roids were mostly out of the game by then.

11. The pitchers were the heroes in that series...
...yeah, 4 years later shouldn't matter, but it does to the Spankmes apparently, although one year after A-Hole was on the list apparently diddn't help them in 2004.

12. Actually I am convinced that the Rox lost only because of the 8 day layoff.
That allowed them to think too much.

16. I think that's a rationalization
The Sox were clearly the better team, and I say that as a fan of both teams. Really, I didn't think the Rockies had a chance in hell. I thought they'd get through the Phillies in round one, and I was surprised that they just beat the D-Backs, let alone swept them. But as soon as the Sox beat the Indians, I knew for 100% sure they would be the world champs.

13. The Rockies were embarrassed in that series..
thoroughly humiliated. The baseball equivalent of the 1940 NFL Championship game. Steroids had nothing to do with it.

At least when the Giants lost in 7 in 2002, they showed up and put up a fight...The Rockies bent, er, rolled over for the Red Sox like a bunch of submissive dogs.

If I were a Colorado fan, I'd be doing my best to forget the shame of that series.

15. Sort of like the Giants were in 1989?
There has been only 20 sweeps (the Damned Yankers won 8 of them).
