They have a bowl victory over Frenso State from last season plus they are 115-80 since 1992 with 3 MWC Championships. Not to mention it took BYU a last second field goal to defeat the Rams 45-42 who not to mention beat #3 Oklahoma a football powerhouse.
Your joke would make a lot more sense if it was about New Mexico State or Utah St. But Colorado State has been a successful program in the last 2 decades.
Who was #1 all season until their showdown with Florida. Not to mention that was their 2nd BCS bowl victory. How many BCS Bowl victories does a team from the MAC or Conference USA has? You could argue the WAC is slightly ahead of the MWC considering Boise St's victory over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl a few years back but considering 2nd place BYU defeated Oklahoma I argue MWC is the best non-BCS conference.
