I attended school with him at the same grade level from 7th to 10th grade. Had several classes with him as well and the same PE class in 7th grade where we often played "The Game" which was flag rugby with a forward pass you can throw at any time. Honestly he wasn't very likable often chewing people out for making mistakes and blaming others whenever the team he played for lost but he was very talented. I'm sure he matured and glad to see him doing well.
I was on the JV team briefly in the 10th grade(long story as to why it was short) and I recall lining up with him as a receiver and he was DB as soon as the ball was snapped I was pushed back 10 yards. He was short and strong. I remember his older brother was a better player. Anyways he transfered from Westwood High School to Red Mountain High School(Which at the time was winning 5A State Championships on a yearly basis) and had a spectacular Senior year.
After that I seen he was recruited by UNLV. I started to follow him but early on there was really nothing other then the time he got in trouble with the law it wasn't until after being grayshirted, then redshirted he saw some significant playing time as a Sophmore and was productive. He is a junior now so UNLV fans expect a couple of good years out of him. He is a very talented and passionate player from what I saw from a first person perspective. I hope he has gotten past the slight attitude problems.
