Spolier! I think *'s upset over * is bigger than *'s win over *!
I think Melanie Oudin beating Sharpel-nova is a better upset than Kim over Venus. Why? Shrapne-ova was playng well, Venus made the final of Wimbledom, but her last big win was 2008's Wimbledom...she's clearly on the downside of her career, and Kim is coming back strong. We'll see if Melanie is the real thing...Kim clearly is.

3. I would have.
:)

What an odd match (Clijsters/Venus)! 6-0, 0-6 for the first two sets???

I wonder if the sisters will pull out of doubles now. No reason for Venus to pretend her knee isn't giving her trouble.

I think Kim is amazing to come back the way she has. I hope she continues to do well.

And Melanie! She's doing so well. I hope she keeps it up, too.

This has been a fun Open.

4. I would have liked to see Andy do better...that really was a shock...
...didn't see it so I don't know how well Isner was playing, but Andy seemed to have moved past messy defeats early that had plagued him for a few years.

Yeah, I know I can count on ONE other tennis fan here! :hi:

Not sure if she's going to win this match but she's doing a fabulous job playing Petrova. What a tremendous match. And she's in the lead.

On edit...super fantastic win for Melanie. I was in tears watching her twin sister cry. Way to go, Mel!

8. I thought she was going to lose...
...now I wish Robin soderling was in a different part of the draw...I want Roger to win a few more, but I'd like to see Robin break through...he was such a good sport at the end of the French final.
