Hey Philly (Eagle) Fans
What's the buzz on McNabb? To play or not to play, that is my question. I hate that my only two favorite teams are facing off this coming weekend. I might just sit that one out.

1. ESPN reporting McNabb's status is "uncertain"
PHILADELPHIA -- Donovan McNabb's status is uncertain for the Eagles' game against New Orleans next Sunday because of a cracked rib.

"He's pretty sore," coach Andy Reid said Monday. "He's going to try and battle through it. He'll struggle to practice."

When the Eagles return to practice Wednesday, backup Kevin Kolb will work with the starting unit, Reid said.

If McNabb is not available for Sunday's home opener against New Orleans, Reid said he hasn't determined who will back up Kolb. Michael Vick is suspended for the first two regular-season games to complete penalties for bankrolling a dogfighting ring.

2. I'm sick of him having to take cheap shots and not getting the flag.
This is the second time the Panthers have cheaped him with no call and he takes them all the time. If it were Brady or Manning dealing with that crap there would be penalties and ejections.

With that said they are leaving the door open for him to play. He wants to and Reid is not ruling it out. My personal opinion is that he won't play this week. What also sucks is that A.J. Feely is signing with the Panthers so we have no viable backup to Kolb if D-Mac has to sit. This ridiculous Vick experiment may cost them a game.

4. That sure was a late hit
I don't understand the reasoning of the league office in not fining/reprimanding the player for that.

5. Even with Feeley...you had no viable backup.

7. Feeley had played well for us.
He may have sucked everywhere else but for us he played well. Garcia is the backup now, he also played pretty well for us before. We'll see what happens, Kolb may be alright, the Saints defense sucks.

3. He should take off until after the bye week
Greetings Shipmate and fellow Eagle fan (Saints too, I get it).

Its time to play Kolb. This week he works with the first team, which should help. He just needs to manage the game. And Garcia is a good enough backup to help if it unravels.

Too early in the season to force McNabb to play. We will need him in November and December. I will risk a couple of losses early to get him healthy. We might lose to N.O. (don't think we will lose to K.C. though).

6. How bout Dem
Phillies? I had to explain "magic number" to my wife who is also a big Phillie Fan. She's talking another world series title this year. I ain't quite that confident. Yet! And I don't have any room on my garage walls for another banner.

8. At least you have a wife that understands what an "inning" is.

Introducing "magic number" is would fuck with her mind. I can't even imagine trying to explain how to calculate the number games behind or ahead a team is. x(

Yeah, it's that bad. And she has a college degree. :wtf:
