It's the most anticipated comeuppance in recent college football memory. Florida-Tennessee on Saturday from The Swamp is supposed to be Lane Kiffin's on-field punishment inflicted by Urban Meyer for an offseason of diarrhea of the mouth.

"If you're gonna be brash," former Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer said, "you better be able to back it up."

Which is what, exactly? Kiffin didn't rebuild USC as an assistant; Pete Carroll did. Kiffin didn't win with the Raiders; the owner called him a liar on his way out.

Meyer gets the first chance to expose Kiffin for what he is so far: Lipstick on a pig.

Of course, if Florida allows Kiffen to beat them, then they would deserve it. TN is a mediocre team at best this year.

And Kiffen is a douche.

Furthermore, I am sick of Lane Kiffen. He is a freaking blowhard who hasn't won anything in the SEC and was acting like he was the second coming. :puke:

Kiffin made the comment at a booster breakfast where you are trying to pump up the boosters. He didn't know the rule and apologized.

Spurrier accused Kiffin of cheating the first day on the job (said he hadn't taken the NCAA test yet). Kiffin and AD Hamilton pretty much ignored it (unlike Florida AD Foley who went crying off to the SEC commish).

Anyway, Florida is going to beat down Tennessee this year with or without any of this extracurricular BS. Phil Fulmer would never make such statements about a coach, but that didn't prevent Meyer from laying an ass-whooping on Tennessee the last two years. I've never seen Meyer ease up on the gas pedal when he can put a hurt on a rival regardless of any extra motivation. Makes for a good media story though.

He did one of those gutless, Republic Party type, non apoligies... "If I offended anyone at Florida....." while... wrongly...calling someone a cheater... before cameras for all to see.

I think the game will be fairly close.... maybe 10 to 13 points or fewer but...
