I hope Pedro gets shelled

on this issue. The only argument I've ever heard against Pedro for this incident is "How can you do that to a 72 year old man??!!" Guess what, he shouldn't have gone running after someone like a mad man, much less a professional athlete who's less than half his age. He got exactly what he deserved.

I already heard the quote from Zimmer and all it does is prove he's a bigger asshole than I originally thought, and I rewatched the clip several times before making my original post. I don't believe that Zimmer was simply trying to "pull Pedro toward him with his left hand." You don't run full speed at a guy like that so you can pull him towards you and collide head on. And why is it sensible to assume he would use his left hand for this purpose but not to throw a punch?

BUT even if I'm wrong and that's all Zimmer was trying to do, Pedro is not thinking about that and has NO way of knowing what the fat fuck is going to do. Pedro was minding his own business, he had to react quickly, he defended himself, and he went back to minding his own business. Did he throw a punch at Zimmer? Did he go after him once Zimmer hit the ground? To call him a psycho is way out of line, imo.

That was Pedro's nickname in Boston. He is one of the greatest pitchers evah, and though the zim incident was ugly, the Yankees/Sox rivalry is ugly at times.

I love Zim, but fuck him, he bit off more than he can chew out of emotion. When you do that you should expect worse than what Pedro did. He got off light.

Northwestern will be tough. Never play well against that type of "O". Then, the "Shoe" at 3:30 EST, the 14th. Did you know the Big Ten has a no night game rule in November (unless indoors)? This game would be perfect for prime time.

at noon on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. It is just WRONG to play it at 3:30pm.
