The stats alone (106th ranked passing defense for OKST versus Texas #2 rushing defense etc. etc. etc.) should have been indication enough. Sports Illustrated came out with their online bowl predictions a couple of weeks ago, and most placed Alabama in the title game with then 6-2 USC, leaving Texas to play in the Citrus bowl with WAC champion TCU. (WTF?) I think Texas' trouncing of Okla. St. will finally shut up the naysayers who were betting against the stats and for an Okla. St. upset.

Frankly, when it comes to sports journo. analysts, I think the real issue they have is: Colt McCoy doesn't excite me. In fact, Texas doesn't excite me. Not a good story. Screw 'em.

I understand the the Big 12 isn't exactly Grade A football right now, but which conference other than the SEC is shining at the moment?

Honestly, if I had the championship game of my dreams, I'd love to see Tim Tebow and Florida against Colt McCoy and the 'Horns. That would be worth a party.

Although I think Florida would kick Texas' ass...

1. Umm, TX has played like crap...
for a good chunk of the season?
If TX plays St. Timmeh, I hope TX wins. But I surely won't watch the game.

2. Secretly, I think every one here has become an Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Why not? We're exciting as hell to watch. Who else can turn the ball over six times than score 28 points in the 4th to win, going away? Lots of work to do, but a National Championship for Iowa is what the US, er, the whole fucking world, wants. So climb aboard and enjoy the ride. There's still seats available.
