1. This is worse than "Dewey Beats Truman"
Because that didn't unleash The End of Days like a Skankee series win will!

3. I can't understand how that ad got past ad reps
and the paste-up department -- unless pre-press is handled overseas. What paper did it run in?

4. The Philadelphia Inquirer, no less
Displayed is a Macy's ad is on the back of the front section of The Philadelphia Inquirer mistakenly congratulating the Philadelphia Phillies on winning back-to-back World Series baseball titles, in Philadelphia, Monday, Nov. 2, 2009. The newspaper has apologized to readers for the mistake because as of Monday the New York Yankees hold a 3-1 lead in the series.

9. shirts for both teams for any sports championship are made all the time
the loser's shirts, I've heard, are donated to third World countries. So someone, somewhere is running around with a 2003 Yankees World Series Champs T-shirt or a 2007 New England Patriots Super Bowl Champions Tshirt.
