1. It is easier to take a moral stand
against a nonvital memeber.

I hear they want TCU anyway.

2. "The school also banned itself from postseason play last season"
oooh.. now there was a big loss, like they were going anywhere. I think I read back when this first happened that in order to kick out Baylor the conference would need 3/4 of the other schools to approve it. Does anyone know more about this? I might not be remembering it correctly.

3. Don't fool yourselves.....Baylor's academics help out a pitiful....
record that the Big 12 schools put up in general.

4. I would like to see...
the Big XII lose Baylor and pick up, maybe, Arkansas.

5. Why would Arkansas make that move?
It was their desire to join the SEC that helped break up the Southwest Conference.

6. here are some reasons tossed around on Arkansas boards
One is being back with some old rivals, UT, A&M, and TT from the old SWC days. Yes, they left, but for money, not from a desire to get away from those schools. Another one is distance. There are five schools in the Big 12 closer to Fayetteville than Oxford, MS, the closest of the SEC schools. The average distance from Fayetteville for the SEC schools is 670. The Big 12, 430. Geographically it is a better fit. Plus, Fayetteville has much more of a feeling of that part of the county than of the deep south. Arkansas also has a great basketball rivalry with Missouri and it would be nice to have that mean even more with it being a conference game. From reading the boards, there is a lot of support for Arkansas being in the Big 12. If the option had existed at the time, who knows what would have happened. All this is however just talk. Frank Broyles controls the athletic program and thinks of the SEC as paradise. Arkansas fans like me think differently. We lost our traditional rivals, are treated like step children in the SEC, and have to travel much further for games. I would love to see them in the Big 12. Baylor never belonged.

10. would it matter?
Oklahoma is the only school which wins the south anyway. Its not like a school better than Baylor would make it harder for all the schools to win. None of them can beat Oklahoma anyway.

12. I'd love it
as a WVU fan--it would open a spot in the SEC for WVU and get us the hell out of the Big East
