8. I take back what I said about Bosshog...he's a rectum faced pygmy.
If only you guys saw the PM. Talk about an unhappy drunk. I only hope his wife has the 911 number handy....

7. Great outcome
I thought the Colts would win based on better pass defense but I rooted for the Saints and I'm thrilled for them.

For one thing, it removes the nonsense labels on guys like Shockey and Bush. It's been laughable for years that those two guys have been ripped in the media and on message boards. Shockey plays hurt and with great intensity. Great guy. For years at Giants camp in Albany I watched him stay more than a half hour after every practice, including two a days, and make a game out of signing autographs for kids, while other players marched smack to the locker room. It's the reason 75% of the jerseys at that training camp were #80, and that's barely an exaggeration, if at all. I still can't believe the Giants were dense enough to part with him, but it worked out great for Shockey.

Bush could have been stuck in obscurity at Houston, along with Andre Johnson. I hope they're thrilled with the DE and no playoff appearances ever. Meanwhile, Bush has got a ring, on top of the NFC Championship game as a rookie. His role will only increase, and the claims that he's a bust look even more idiotic. I remember two years ago when Dolphin message boards asserted he was equivalent to Lorenzo Booker, who is now out of the league.

Terrific result for Jonathan Vilma also. He fits much better in the Saints 4-3 than the Jets' 3-4. The Saints did use plenty of odd looks on the DL tonight, including man up on the center.

Now, the key for New Orleans and Indianapolis next year is obvious: Lose early. Make it a gentle year for the 1972 Dolphins.

Actually, along those lines, it will be interesting to see if the Colts maintain their regular season intensity, the automatic 12+ wins, a year after losing the Super Bowl. Recently the teams in that deflating situation have struggled.

9. What the Saint's have done together
as a team says a lot about free agents. I think like over 20 different players have scored for the Saints this season - the message that it's about the team as a whole is what took them to a victory tonight.

14. A Saints win means more pain and suffering for the hapless Clowns fans. Now I am hoping for a
Detroit vs. Texans/Jacksonville Superbowl next year to make their pain worse.
