Aints will be buried Saturday...RIP
Almost two weeks after the New Orleans Saints exorcised many of the franchise's past demons, the Aints will be buried Saturday in a jazz funeral.

Glen David Andrews and the Baby Boyz Brass Band will lead a jazz funeral second line through New Orleans (Treme and Faubourg Marigny) starting at 5 p.m.

"Fans are encouraged to bring their old Aints paper bags and place them in a coffin," writes the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

This country is the best at many things, but we could use some funeral reform. Too drab and depressing in general. New Orleans gets its right by celebrating someone's life.

Even, you know, when they are symbolically celebrating the death of an era of painful football.

1. I skipped the parade,
What with being a Pats fan and all, but I think this one will be cool. I'll try to post some pics.

2. They ought to go all the way to the Dome and have the burial there
seeing as how it is built on the site of the old Girod Street Cemetery; this fact was blamed for uncountable (S)Aints losses over the years.
