So......is everyone happy with their 1st Rd draft picks?
(Jags fans don't have to answer if it's too painful)

I think my Steelers got lucky...at #30.

1. I agree and I wonder
if this means our offensive strategy will change to include more passing to the tight end. I believe I heard or read that he was only an average blocker.

3. They'd be stupid not to.....
Throwing more to the TE off playaction will give Ben more options.
...and open up the running game...it's all good.

Not pleased that K. BEll landed on your team.
If he can find his way outta the spa he might have a good year.

5. I like Fred Gibson in the 4th rd too. (2nd Rd talent)
Imagine having a tall WR that can actually JUMP without tripping on the white lines...

Here's a great article about him...

"He has a knack to adjust to the deep ball and accelerate to the deep ball," said John Eason, Gibson's receivers coach at Georgia. "Deep balls, balls over his head, balls to the outside shoulder, he'll track the ball. He has great hand-eye coordination."

10. As of now...
Cedric Wilson...from the 49ers.

But, a lot can happen yet...Randle El averaged 20.1 yards per game in Burress' absense at split end...he can do it...but, he's much better in the slot where he can use his quickness.

Ward, El, Wilson, Gibson, Cobb...

...much better than Ward, Burress, El, Mays, Morey...

I was way tired of a half-ass Plaxico making half-ass plays half of the half-ass time. Wilson at least is a fighter, with speed.

Plus, Heath Miller should get his catches too.

11. Vikings had another great draft
Between free agency and the draft, they really built a strong defense.

WR Troy Williamson looks like he'll be a good deep threat. Not as good as Moss, but a bit more predictable. Let's hope he's as good at blocking as Moss.

Erasmus James is another good pickup for the D-Line.

I actually feel confident about the Vikings this year.

was to paraphrase Martha Stewart "A good thing!". Helps improve an already fine defense.
