2. What'd I miss? What I'd miss?
Looking at the stats, he had a run--did he drive in the runs that put them ahead?????? I saw the score at 2-1, Detroit, and then swiotched back to 5-2--I assume Mirabelli is responsible!

3. Grand slam by Mirabelli!
I was questioning Francona's sanity when I saw the lineup tonight, Mirabelli as the DH, but the results (so far) make him look like a genius.

Now, if only the bullpen can hold it---keep your fingers crossed, the Sox bullpen has been an adventure (and not the fun kind) lately.

4. Yeah--two more innings to go....I didn't catch the home run, as I said,
and the stats on yahoo only say 1 run!

7. Yeah, Foulke makes me very nervous lately.
Edited on Tue May-03-05 09:25 PM by cruadin
He gave up another HR shot tonight, fortunately both tonight and Foulke's last appearance the Sox had a big enough lead to absorb it and win. Talk about living on the edge---not what you want to see in your closer.

But, like you said--Sox win, Yanks lose, life is sweet. :D

8. Hopefully the Sox can get it together when (if?) Wells and Schilling
and Arroyo are all back. They're hitting, but the pitching is weak right now.

9. I was starting to worry about the Os getting TOO far out ahead...
of the pack. I'm glad the Jays could hold them within striking distance for us. ;)

12. Well, I'm happy for a Red Sox fan who likes Liverpool...all I know about
them is what I heard on Keeping up Appearances. If you're a fan of the show, I'll explain what I mean!
