Despite outshooting the Avs 51-16, the Sharks somehow managed to lose in OT when Dan Boyle threw the puck into his own net. The Sharks are now down in the series 2-1 having lost both games on fluke bounces..

It's like the Sharks have become the Cubs or the Red Sox (before 2004) of the hockey world. Even when they play well...something happens.

Btw, rooting for the Canucks, but the Kings look pretty good...have a good chance to win that series.

And Dan Boyle did not put the puck into his own net. Replays show it deflected off of the defender's stick. There have been several bad luck goals for both teams in this series. Nothing unusual. Move along. I predict the Sharks will win game 5 by more than one goal this time.

Yes, I've seen the replays...the guys on Versus were blaming the goal on Nabby the other night. I don't know if I'd go that far.

You're wrong in your "nothing unusual" claim. The fluke goal that ended game 3 is one of the strangest endings to a playoff game in NHL history. We'll be seeing that replay for years to come..

I'd also like to think the Sharks will take control of this series now too. However, several things argue against that. First off, the closeness of the first 4 games. Secondly, they're the Sharks...when it comes to the playoffs they never do things the easy way.

They're finally beginning to look like the REAL Sharks. Pavs has just gone crazy...nice to see Marleau score too, maybe that'll get him going..

since I got Ryan Kesler's name wrong during the Olympics. And Boyle scored two big goals after that one bad game so he more than redeemed himself.
