1. You cant fire an owner
He wont quit, the Yankees went 14 years from 82-96 without one series apperance.

2. Kleeb's right. He'll never quit. The Yankees will have a new owner only

when they carry the old out on a stretcher. But it's nice to dream, ihatetheGOP!

The same is probably true for the O's, dammit. :grr:

4. They're looking good early on!
I don't know what I'm going to do if the O's and the Halos both wind up in the playoffs. :bitingnails:

5. Give the man credit
He has made me care about the Kentucky Derby. I will be happy so long as any other horse than his wins.

9. You mean when will Steinbrenner fire Torre
Since as principal owner of the Yankees its pretty unlike that Steinbrenner would fire himself . . .

10. I can't vote--I really am clueless as to the relationship between Torre
and Steinbrenner. Some Skankees fans seem to believe Joe will never be fired. Does he have compromising photos of George?

13. When if people in the division know how to beat us
which doesnt appear to be likely. Since hte league made more intradivisional games, a team's performance in their division has been key, and the orioles have done very well in the AL East. So you guys got 26 championships, this is 2005, and this is easily the Yankees worst start Ive seen.

15. hahahahhaa
and the last time the orioles got to a start this good, they made it to the ACLS. When the Yanks get 15 games out of first, party :D.

16. Past titles don't bring you future titles
Those 26 flags mean nothing this year. How many of those championships were won in the 80's? None. This team is a mirror image of those 80's teams. It was only when George got suspended did they start building up the farm again. Stick got things aimed in the right direction. Now we're right back where we started, nothing in the farm and AARP in the Bronx.

I'm hoping that George will let the baseball people get the team headed in the right direction again, but I don't see that happening.

Don't stomp on the O's, they look pretty damn good this year. Can they sustain it? Who knows, but they're one hell of alot better than my boys in the Bronx.

17. Torre will make it the entire season
Depending on how they do, Torre may or may not be back in 2006. I think he has two years on his contract though.

18. Maybe Torre and Steinbrenner
are both concentrating more on horse racing more than baseball
right now. Torre owns part of Sis City who ran in the Oaks
yesterday and Steinbrenner owns the favorite for the Derby.
Just a thought.

19. You could be right about The Boss, but I doubt that Torre...
has much stomach acid left to spend on his race horse.
