7. You know, if baseball weren't at a boring point in its cycle, you might have a point

but since the other 'played every week' American team sports aren't playing now, and baseball is well beyond its start, but a long way from the end of its season, you need something to break up the meaningless chit-chat about baseball games whose significance is probably small, or, god forbid, talking about the NFL or NHL when they're not even playing. You could, of course, talk about other sports - Wimbledon, Formula One, or golf, if you want one being played in the US right now.

12. Outside of the NFL I think all the seasons go on too long.

The Stanley Cup shouldn't be decided in June, and in baseball they shouldn't have to worry about snow for the World Series.

And now even the NFL wants to add games. x(
