(Percy)Harvin collapses, taken away in ambulance
Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin collapsed at the team’s Winter Park facility Thursday while watching practice and was loaded into an ambulance.

Harvin, who has suffered from severe migraines, was not on the field for the start of practice. He was seen talking to head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman outside the locker room at Winter Park and then jogged onto the field to watch practice. A few minutes later, Harvin vomited and then fell to the ground.

He came out for special teams practice and started having problems when he looked into sky catching punt.

Vikings coach Brad Childress on Harvin's migraines: "That one hit and it hit hard. Always scary for all of our guys when you see teammates struggling."

1. I wish Percy the best
That sounded like a scary episode.

I also found it interesting that Childress announced to the team that they were wrapping up early and Favre overruled him right on the field.

5. Yeah, if it had actually happened that way, he'd be a jackass.
It didn't, but don't let that douse your anti-Favre fire!

7. Did you read the article?
Or did you base your judgment on what someone else said about the article?

8. Yes, I did..at favor's SUGGESTION? Interesting, because ESPN
talked about how "sources close to favor" said he was hesitant to return because he doesn't trust Childress. Yup, Favor's smear campaign and undermine campaign are both in full force. Asshole, major major asshole...always has been, always will be.

10. Here:
"Brett made a mention. Let's get one period in here. Let's do something as opposed to go in," Childress relayed, saying he was initially just going to end the practice.

11. So that's "overruling"?
Seems to me you took a bit of artistic license with that. Is there any evidence whatsoever that Favre "overruled" Childress, or did he simply suggest one more drill and Childress agreed?

12. That's the way I heard it described
Mark Rosen, a Minneapolis TV sports guy, described it that way. I read it in an NFL forum somewhere. And yes, it was probably a Favre suggestion, but my interpretation would be that Childress doesn't have the spine anymore to disagree with Favre. Reports are that Childress has lost the respect of the players, so I don't see him going head to head with Favre even in a touchy situation that left everyone shaken.

2. Poor kid is just incapacitated by migraines.
Pot was apparently the only thing that could help him (as many migraine sufferers can attest to), and now he can't light up or he'll be out of the NFL. Pity, he has such amazing talent.

3. Surely some kind of exception can be made?

Why can't he just smoke and play? It's not like it's a performance enhancer - quite the oppposite.

I work with a guy who has migraines like this - it's not pretty.

NFL should smarten up and let him light-up. He's too much of a talent to waste.
