Now that was a smackdown (Spurs/Suns)
The first half of the Spurs-Suns game tonight was insane. Held the Suns to 39 points, 10 in the second quarter.

This thing'll be over on Monday night. Bring out the brooms!

1. It's a lesson for everyone on real defense. The Spurs are the masters!
GO SPURS!

It makes me so happy that I get to see them every few days, during the season, we got so few games. It sucked. That second quarter was amazing.

I do feel a little sorry for Nash, he's a nice guy and got completely shut down. Parker owned him! But a win is a win, and I love that!

3. What's great about this
is that the Spurs are running and playing defense.

And I love watching the national media try to catch up with what Spurs fans have known all year - TMT (Tim, Manu, Tony) are an explosive combination.

The 10th guy off our bench? Was our starting center 2 months ago. That's a deep bench. I expect Rasho to get mondo playing time in the Finals, though. But Nazr has proven to be yet another incredible move by RC Buford and Pop.

How is it that all the awards went to Phoenix this year? Will Buford ever get an executive of the year award? San Antonio is only the most successful franchise in pro sports the last 8 years.

4. No, Its not
At least, there are other franchises who could claim that best in the last eight years. The Patriots, the Yanks, the Twins (though they are hampered by a lack of psotseason success), the Redwings, maybe even the Devils.

Heck, in the NBA, you could argue the Lakers had a better eight years.

5. Go by won/loss
and we are. Better than the Pats, Yanks, Redwings, anybody.
