Brent Musburger called a game over...and guess what..it wasn't over.
Edited on Sun Oct-17-10 07:32 PM by Stuart G
It had to be four or five years ago.maybe more.
.I wish I could give an exact date and who was playing. But there were five or six minutes left in this football game. Brent was calling it with a couple of others and he bagan to give out the awards for player of the game etc..How this team beat that team and what was wrong with the "loosers"
Well, looser was down by two touchdownns, and it was over by Brent's view..but it wasn't. The so called looser, won after they came back got two touchdowns or something like that. I am sure that someone here knows this game.
But I will never forget it. And Brent did not mention it anymore.
This stupid asshole, called it, and was wrong. Completely wrong.
Everyone watching saw it.... It ain't over till time runs out...and time hasn't run out yet

2. "Dewey defeats Truman!"
A famous, or infamous headline in the Chicago Tribune after the 1948 election. Except Truman won. Oops. We could be seeing something like this again.

7. And I remember another one..I think it was more than 50 years ago..
The Chicago Cubs were playing the Chicago White Sox in an exhibition game..April 54 or 5 maybe six.
Well the Cubs were down by 4 or 5 with 2ith 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth. It was over. but it wasn't.
..The Cubs got a man on and another and guess what, by the time it was over, the Cubs had won. I think they were down 7 - 2, but the
game ended with the Cubs winning 8 - 7..In the fifties, the Cubs had the crappiest of teams...nothing has changed.

I don't remember many of these, but I remember these two. I dont' know what else to say.
The assholes haven't won yet, sometimes they do, but not always..And some people fight like hell till it is over..

9. Well, there is never a looser in a game. Other than that you gave
a great description of what might have happened in some college or NFL game sometime.
