64-79--- That is the combined win/loss record of the teams they played. Now keep in mind that the teams they played play an equally easy schedule.

What a fucking joke.

3. The problem with that argument
"equally easy schedule"

For one, it isn't true. The other reason is the the teams Oregon faced, played Oregon therefore making their opponents schedule tougher. The same is true for TCU. Everyone on their schedule had to play TCU thereby making their schedule tougher. The easiest way to make your schedule tougher is to lose.

4. If the voters felt that way, they probably shouldn't have voted them at #3
In either case, the only good team Virginia tech played all year was Boise St. (who beat them) and they're going to another BCS bowl. Uconn managed to go through an entire season without playing a single top 25 team, they lost to Louisville, Temple, Rutgers and Michigan, and they're going to a BCS bowl as well.

TCU in the Rose bowl isn't even the SECOND biggest farce of this year's BCS.

6. Right
That is why I thought this was funny

Knocking TCU when UConn is playing in the Fiesta Bowl.

Second reason why is their opponent Wisconsin, doesn't have a very impressive strength of schedule (something I care little about).

Third is the claim their opponents played an equally easy schedule. That is proven false just by looking at the first team. Oregon State. They played TCU, Boise St, Oregon, and Stanford.

16. while agree that their strength of schedule was weak,
I do not think that they are a farce. I think they have some quality players, but we will find out at the Rose Bowl, that is what is good about it. I think UCONN being in it is much more problematic Michigan State would kill them.

17. A lot of teams would probably trounce UConn.
Even some with 6-6 records.
