Didn't beat a single ranked opponent. Not a one!

1. Speaking of Miami
I've been wondering about their chances of picking Gary Patterson lately. I know Trump is pushing them to get Leach but I think that would be a mistake. Massive blowouts on the road is the reason why. Plus I believe TCU beat Texas Tech the last time they played each other.

4. Couldn't agree with you more...
Miami doesn't deserve a Bowl game.

Now--- let's see how many TCU players move on to the NFL in the next two seasons compared to Miami.

6. Dozens of bowl teams every year didn't beat a ranked opponent
If you define that by ranking at the end of the regular season.

It's a laughable concept when you look at it in reverse: Miami could have lost to either Pittsburgh or Maryland and still made a bowl with a 6-6 record. Yet either one of those teams would be ranked now if Miami had lost to them. Maryland barely fell outside the current coach's poll Top 25. So do you allow a team to win and make it's own schedule look worse?

Regardless, preseason rankings will dominate bowl outcomes, per usual. I've posted that system many times. They arrange these teams based on irrelevancies like regular season results, then true form reasserts itself. And it will work that way forever.
