It's time. Which was your favorite of the XLV Super Bowls?
For me it was VI when the Cowboys won their first.

Followed by XXXII when the Broncos won their first (after losing four).

1. Have to agree with VI.
Bob Lilly sacking Bob Griese for a 29-yard loss will a forever memory.

2. Dolphins completing the Perfect Season
First year my dad bought season tickets.

Years later when I enrolled at USC I was in silent awe during the first game at the Coliseum, realizing that's where Shula and Co. had entered immortality. I stared at the spots of all the key plays from that game.

Make it co-favorite with III, Jets over Colts at the Orange Bowl. Tickets were $15. My dad was furious that it cost $4 to park smack across the street from the stadium. We sat in the lower deck of the closed west end, not far from where Jimmy Orr frantically waved for a flea flicker pass that never arrived.

I've always respected and rooted for the Jets after that monumental accomplishment. Most vivid game I've ever attended. Great contrast in classic uniforms. Perfect grass, seemingly greener than ever. The Baltimore fans in the Colts Corral were so impressive even in defeat. Even the celebratory confetti fell in orderly fashion.

We had season tickets from 70-74.... Me and my Sister were in the MacArthur Dairy Huddle Club-- season tickets were 15 dollars each and we sat in the closed end-zone----- 20 rows up.... F'ing great.

Didn't miss a game.

10. Now that is the shit.
That must have been awesome in any year, let alone the most memorable year in the sport.

7. XXII
The ultimate under dog SB. Doug Williams, Ricky Sanders, Timmy Smith (!) coming back from 10 down to make the heavily favored John Elway and company look very very silly.
Maybe Joe Gibbs best coaching job ever. He had the less talented team overall..EXCEPT for the Hogs...Who shined like an O-line rarely has in the big game. I remember going back to college at Maryland and listening to the radio station playing "Hail to the Redskins" FORTY-TWO times in a row in honor of the 42-10 win.

8. The Broncos entered the game as 3 point favorites..
I guess your definition of "heavily favored" must be different than mine.

12. Yeah, the media only predicted the Broncos to win by two touchdowns
I remember the hype very very well. John Elway was like the best QB ever!!! And the Broncos had lost only by that missed field goal the year before. Not only did the majority think the Skins were gonna lose, they thought it wouldn't be close. I'm sorry that you think that the line in Vegas actually reflects what the media and talking heads say SB week.
The Redskins who lost to the Raiders in 83 were considered "heavy" favorites in the media that year too, although I think the line was only 6 points or so.
How can you be a football fan and not know that the LV line really has little to do with who is CONSIDERED the favorite?
Most casual fans I know think the Steelers are the favorite today, though officially LV has GB as the favorite.

19. Considered by who?
BTW, the Broncos got smoked by the Giants by 19 the year before.

9. XXIII
The famous Montana led 92 yard drive in the final minutes...

All 5 of the 49ers SB wins are great, but this one was the most unexpected..as they went only 10-6 and had to win the NFC Championship on the road in Chicago.

It was honestly something I never thought I'd see. I thought the Red Sox would be champions before the Pats ever would.

14. Super Bowl XXIX
I was really happy for Steve Young. He threw six TD passes against the Chargers, winning 49-26, and was named MVP. He was finally out from under Montana's shadow.

Super Bowl XVI, the first SB victory for the 49ers, also stands as a favorite because no one knew what to expect from the team, especially after starting out 1-2 (they finished 12-1, losing only to Cleveland 12-15 at Candlestick on a wet, sloppy day). That Super Bowl was marked by the incredible goal line defensive effort by the Niners in the third quarter, when they stopped Cincinnati four times. The Bay Area was just electrified by the 49ers success that year -- it was awesome.

Like the Broncos out of the AFC. Other than that I would have to say the one the Cardinals lost.

17. XXXI was my favorite, but...
X, XIII, XVI, XXIII, XXV, were probably the most enjoyable games to watch from a basic fan's perspective.

Nobody voting for III?

since the G-Men denied the NE Patriots their chance for sports immortality.
