My! My! My! The Giambino hit three Home runs!
All seven Rox runs are his RBIs - so far.

He never has done that in all his 16 seasons.

Lots of stats to follow.

But bad news - Cargo is hurt.

1. Here's one:
Giambi is the 12th Rockies player to go deep three times in a game. Larry Walker was the last to do it on June 25, 2004, at Cleveland.

2. Was Jim Tracy prophetic?
Two hours before the game:

"The swing he's looking for, it will show up, believe me," said Tracy. "Here's the thing about Jason Giambi: He's one good swing away from saying to himself, "There it is." That's how good a hitter he's been over the years. That's how much he understands himself and his swing."

5. Only three other players hit 3 homers in a game past the age of 40.
Babe Ruth, Stan Musial and Reggie Jackson.

Pretty good company, I'd say.

7. Giambi admitted it. And has been off of them for years.
Don't give me this Asshole Bonds shit. Giambi is sorry and knows he'll never make it to the HOF.
