Believe it or not, I am somewhat serious.

Also, I was going to congrtulate you Monday after the latest Sox collapse and say that the Indians were now poised for a sweep!

1. Holy crap... 14-2
Missed it... I didn't realize the start today was so early.

20 hits? :wtf:

Quality start by Lester. Buchholz and Beckett too.

Maybe this is good -- nothing like an ass-kicking to keep one humble.

2. I knew Bard would give up some runs...fortunately it was only 2...
Yeah, I forget who b-slapped the Red Sox early in the season, and in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter.

8. No way
I'd feel the same way if Matt Cain went down for the year. In a way it levels the playing field in the West. With your regular starters pitching well & healthy -- and that includes Jimenez -- the Rockies were the favorite to win the division.

Who can they call up from the minors?

9. We already called up Clayton Mortensen.

But Aaron Cook will come back next week from breaking his finger in a door. He has won more games for the Rox than any other pitcher.

On edit: News from Tracy Ringolsby today -

The Colorado Rockies announced Wednesday that right-handed starting pitcher Juan Nicasio, rated the No. 8 prospect in the Rockies system by Baseball America will make his major league debut Saturday against the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Colorado Rockies formally placed Jorge De La Rosa on the 15-day disabled list with a torn left ulnar collateral ligament and recalled right-handed reliever Bruce Billings from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
