1. Wow. Upton is slipping. He normally would have voted several thousand times by now.

2. In his defense
When I went to go vote, you use an e-mail address. After you complete the vote it says you can vote up to 25 times. When you want to vote again, you enter your e-mail address as a log-in so this way you can keep track. I'm sure many people used up those 25 votes, not just Upton(if he voted 25 times this year).

FTR I only voted once so far.
McCann
Fielder or Votto
Brandon Phillips
Chipper Jones
Jose Reyes (:hide: Sorry El, at the time Reyes had better stats)
Matt Kemp, Lance Berkman, and Carlos Gonzales(I know this doesn't make sense given my Reyes vote but he is my favorite player on the Rock Show)

I may vote one more time when it gets a little closer to the All-Star break.

7. I voted all 25 times in one sitting.
You just have to enter the secret code for each vote.

5. I find it funny that after winning it all last year,
the Giants still don't have a first team fielder. Well, Posey might have made it.

I would've voted for him if I could have voted for SPs and relievers.

save Wilson for meaningful games. He could use the rest. I'm sure all the Giants would look forward to some time off -- Bochy included.

12. Posey was leading the catchers balloting before he got injured..
And I'd rather have my team in first place than have a position player on the All Star team..

14. The best second baseman isn't on that list...
Its a shame no one outside of DC seems to be paying attention what ROOKIE Danny Espinosa is doing...Although they lost to the Angels last night, Espinosa gave them yet another chance to win... Him and Mike Morse have almost single handedly revved up the Nats offense.

19. I'll say
Rickie Weeks is well deserving of the votes he is receiving. However, Espinoza should have more votes than Utley and Uggla.

Only a few of my votes are currently the top vote-getters in their position:

CATCHER
Brian McCann, Braves: 3,062,884
Yadier Molina, Cardinals: 2,271,887
Buster Posey, Giants: 1,849,984
Jonathan Lucroy, Brewers: 1,451,280
Carlos Ruiz, Phillies: 1,392,944

FIRST BASE

SECOND BASE
Rickie Weeks, Brewers: 2,869,583
Brandon Phillips, Reds: 2,791,186
Chase Utley, Phillies: 2,406,965
Dan Uggla, Braves: 1,223,812
Freddy Sanchez, Giants: 1,184,145

THIRD BASE
Placido Polanco, Phillies: 3,261,718
Chipper Jones, Braves: 2,040,594
Pablo Sandoval, Giants: 1,584,671
David Wright, Mets: 1,497,778
Scott Rolen, Reds: 1,417,248

SHORTSTOP
Troy Tulowitzki, Rockies: 2,955,609
Jose Reyes, Mets: 2,710,777
Jimmy Rollins, Phillies: 1,724,166
Alex Gonzalez, Braves: 1,142,470
Yuniesky Betancourt, Brewers: 1,131,078

OUTFIELD
Ryan Braun, Brewers: 3,932,100
Lance Berkman, Cardinals: 3,208,183
Matt Holliday, Cardinals: 2,935,965
Matt Kemp, Dodgers: 2,743,927
Andre Ethier, Dodgers: 2,264,640
Jay Bruce, Reds: 2,119,267
Shane Victorino, Phillies: 1,742,128
Carlos Beltran, Mets: 1,639,362
Jason Heyward, Braves: 1,302,127
Carlos Gonzalez, Rockies: 1,253,728
Raul Ibanez, Phillies: 1,239,678
Corey Hart, Brewers: 1,217,629
Justin Upton, D-backs: 1,141,296
Carlos Gomez, Brewers: 1,016,685
Martin Prado, Braves: 1,012,084

And I've got a lot of work to do if I want to get Jose Reyes to the top of the Shortstop category.
I have a few email addresses, but with only 25 entries per, I can't quite make up the 245,000 vote difference.

ETA: Just voted 25 more times with a long-forgotten email address. For the AL, I'm trying to pick the least productive people I can find.

17. why in gods name are you voting for injured players
Posey, Pujols and Utley who only recently came back? This is WHY I hate fan voting. It has nothing to do with ability and is little better than a HS popularity contest. The Nats have some really really nice players who are totally ignored because of this nonsense.

18. Regarding Pujols...
He was still having a pretty decent yeas, before he got injured a couple of weeks ago. Plus, I like him a lot - he's a decent person.

For Posey, because I still have him on one of my off-line Fantasy Baseball teams I am involved in, and we get bonus points if a player we have on our roster all year makes the All-Star game.

Utley - because I needed a second baseman. Espinosa is a great player, yes - and he does deserve to be on the team. I just didn't vote for him. I guess I could have voted for Brad Emaus (who the ballot says is on the Mets - but he's currently on the Rockies).

22. Nah!
He's becoming a good and consistent hitter, but his defense is attrocious. He's got range to burn, but he doesn't have the soft hands that great shortstops have.

But, i can't really disagree that he deserves enough votes to be on the list. But, he's not an all-star.
