Djoker Beats Raff-roid! There is a God!
I think this deserves its own thread.

4 sets, but he mopped up the court with the cheater.

Bodes well for the US Open since now, at #2, Raff-roid will be on Roger's side of the draw, so will have to go through him AND Djoker if he expects to win...better load up on those roids between now and then if he thinks he has a chance!

1. Yeah, You Are Correct. I Didn't Think About That One. I Know The Draws Changed
when Fed went No. 3, but now I guess it changes again. But wait, I think Roland Garos was set up that way too. I need to check on it.

BUT, YES, YES, YES! A winner he is and FINALLY they can't say he didn't earn it!

I got a call last night from a friends asking me to pick her up at the airport and I had to leave right after the 2nd set and didn't get to see the match. DVD isn't working correctly or something and I couldn't record it. But I did see the final comments from Rafa and Novak!

Still, I so wish I could watch the whole thing. I know Rafa will be back, but for now just SO glad "the djoker" got the BIG ONE and shut a lot of people up!

5. Noooooooooooo, Rafa Was Okay After He Got His "Injection" * I
know joeybee12 isn't real happy about Rafa, but he was very gracious with the loss. Anyway, I heard them say Rafa was OK and the foot wasn't bothering him today. Maybe "they" were wrong.

I'm a SUPER tennis fan, but just recently have been coming here to see what others say. Mostly it's comments about other sports, so didn't check for tennis aficionados much. But I see there is a following here.

Why do you call him Rafa-roid though? Personally, I'm not all that crazy about Roger since he seemed to be a sore loser the several times Novak beat him. Maybe he just doesn't like Novak because he seemed very nice to Jo-Willy.

For me, it's a GREAT tennis day! FINALLY, Nole got THE BIG ONE!

7. The only times I've seen Roger ungracious in defeat is with Murray...
For some reason he doesn't like Murray.

Nadal has ties with that doctor in spain whose offices were raides...pretty much the whole cycling team has ties to him...eventually it will come out, and the sooner the better because it will make no difference because they won't award the titles they'll strip from Raf-roid to someone else, someone who should have had their moment of glory.

Oh, yeah, wasn't he gracious, after he planted the phantom foot injury in everyone's mind (yeah, and the Spanish doctor lugs around MRI equipment...didn't anyone ask him how BIG that equipment is) everyone will say, oh, isn't he great, he didn't even complain!

12. Oh My... Am I Really This Naive?? The Only Scent Of Tennis Scandal
I've ever heard about was one with Davydenko (bad sp) and some match fixing for money, Which I don't think was ever proved.

NEVER heard anything about Rafa... all I've ever heard is how very gracious and humble he is. How Uncle Tony taught him all he knows, BUT I did see DaDa get really, really mad today. I mean he was MAD and slammed his hand down in the 4th set and looked like he was about to blow, a gasket that is.

I NEED to order more magazines or something. And, I just figured he got an MRI from a local hospital. And as my father would say... "that's what you get for thinking!"

Gee whizzes! But, but, but I DID see Fed get very perturbed and upset when he played against Novak and he felt his supporters were making too much noise. Maybe they were, but Roger had a lot more fans around than Novak did. I even think McEnroe commented about it a couple of times. And then there's the times I've seen him cry and thought it a bit strange.

YOU have seen that haven't you? I think I understand the Murray stuff though, I have read in some mags that he's very sarcastic and doesn't EVEN care what ANYONE thinks either. Soderling is another who has that reputation, so it's said. And then, Novak and Murray are said to be friends. But all that is just on-air talk. I have heard that DelPo and Novak are good friends, and I like him a lot.

But what do I REALLY know?

I do know some things that "M" told me, but should NOT repeat because it's "her" personal opinion which doesn't make it true. She went through a lot of hell, but she's learned very well how to fight back. But I haven't walked in her shoes so I really shouldn't say anything and don't.

But, NO... NEVER knew anything about what you just said. That will REALLY be something if what you said hits the fan.

But then, Lance Armstrong was such a pious biker too! No?

never went anywhere...he's been tested once in the last 2 years, and the ATP only does urine tests...the whole testing system is aq sham ripe to be taken adavntage of...

ways to screw with those tests these days. My son-in-law and daughter both work in health care. I've heard many stories.

10. Are you talking about the phony injury when he calimed when he was
behind Juan martin and took enough time out to get Juan Martin to lose his momentum? The one where he needed an MRI allegedly, but he didn't go to a hospital for it but still somehow got results from it? His injuries are like republican ethics...they don't exist.

13. Again... WOW! But I Was VERY Upset About His Time Out With DelPo...
I really, really like Juan Martin and can't wait for him to really get back up and going on all cylinders.

I do agree with you that he got a raw deal with Rafa this time and it DID seem weird.

Juan Martin will be better prepared for Raff-roid's antics.

19. I'm Thinking Juan Martin Is "Moving On Up" Again, And He's One
player to watch. I really like him a lot. He's a real competitor and love his emotion that goes along with it. Anger isn't always a BAD thing!

I would have been extremely upset if I had been subjected to what he was at Wimbledon. But when you're No. 1 you do get perps I suppose. It happens with all kinds of celebrity!

I'm sure we ALL know that!

The 4th round, well that would BE SOMETHING! Talk about a put down, but who knows ANYTHING can happen.
