James Harrison rips Roger Goodell
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/6764826/james-harrison-pittsburgh-steelers-blasts-roger-goodell-magazine-interview

Heavily fined Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison calls NFL commissioner Roger Goodell a "crook" and a "devil," among other insults, in an interview with Men's Journal.

He even rips teammates Rashard Mendenhall ("fumble machine") and Ben Roethlisberger for their performances in this past season's Super Bowl loss to the Green Bay Packers.

"Hey, at least throw a pick on their side of the field instead of asking the D to bail you out again. Or hand the ball off and stop trying to act like Peyton Manning. You ain't that and you know it, man; you just get paid like he does," he said, referring to Roethlisberger's two interceptions in the game. Harrison had one tackle, a sack, in the loss against the Packers.

1. Bye James...
I don't expect the Rooney family to put up with that b.s.

2. I foucsed in on what he said about Rapelisberger and didn't even notice
his rant on Roger.

BTW, if you're trying to act like peyton manning, then make mistakes when the games on the lines...that's what peytons' truly knwon for.

3. I wish the rips on Goodell were from more respected sources
Harrison is absolutely correct. Goodell has changed the sport for the worse unlike any commissioner in major sports but the public doesn't seem to grasp it so the outrage is absent. I've studied NFL stats closely for 25 years, and back fit to 1978 via Excel. Nothing of significance was altered until Goodell's term. Now the old standby rules are out the window.

11. I despise Goodell, but Harrison seems focused on one particular criticism of Goodell.
And his criticism is actually in an area where Goodell is probably on higher ground.

4. I wonder what set him off?
Jeebus the team's been to two SB's in 3 years, seems to have great chemistry, a smart coach, one of the best fan bases in all of major league sports. Someone slipped a gear.

5. Poison...trade his dusty ass.
Players like this aren't worth having around, no matter how good.

7. I bet you he ends up on the Redskins
Loudmouthed nasty attitude likely to get lots of penalties and suspensions...Seems like their type of guy. He can be buddies with Haynesworth...

6. I noticed in the article he criticized Ben's intereceptions
But failed to mention how the Packers Clifton manhandled him in the Super Bowl.
I guess that slipped his mind

8. Mendenhall Says He Only Fumbled Twice
There was a tweet by Rashard where he linked his stats. He had 2 fumbles last year, per the ESPN radio report. So, that's a "fumble machine"? Really?

9. 2 during the regular season, 2 during the playoffs
4 overall. 4 out of 385 carries isn't bad at all though, I'd be happy if it was a running back for my team.

10. Thanks. I DIdn't Hear That Part
Still, once every 96 carries is pretty good. Our guy on the Bears is pretty reliable, but i don't think he is that good.

12. I'm done with ESPN's website until this blows over.
I'm as sick of Harrison as I was of Charlie Sheen.

Folks, they're punks. They're typical 12-year-olds. There is nothing to see here. Move along.
