MLB All-Star game draws record-low rating
PHOENIX (AP)—Baseball’s All-Star game has drawn a record-low rating for the second straight year.

The National League’s 5-1 win Tuesday on Fox earned a 6.9 rating and 12 share. That’s down 8 percent from the 7.5/13 in 2010.

Before last year, the previous low was an 8.1/14 in 2005.

Well I didn't see much of it because my Comcast went haywire with weather warnings for two counties away. I got pissed and went to bed.

1. I didn't watch it...
Seems like it means less and less each year.

2. I did
I've been hooked ever since Ted Williams made an appearance about 11-12 years ago. If you can get past all the forced patriotism stuff and not listen too closely to Joe Buck it's kind of fun. Especially if you kill a bottle of wine during the game.

5. I got really choked up
after he asked Mark McGwire if he smelled burnt wood when he hit the ball hard and McGwire said he did. They played generations apart but there was still the great commonality of The Game that brought them together. That got to me.

6. My favorite part of the game has always been the player introductions.
But with so many missing this year, it lost it's appeal to me.

4. I used to watch it in the 70's and into the 80's. Over the last 20-30 years its kind of
jumped the shark.

Now get off my lawn, you fucking kids!

7. When the players themselves don't give a shit and not show up
Then why do they expect us to watch?

8. I'm one of the ten people in the US that actually likes the All Star Game and watches it every year.
It has become a tradition for me.

9. I am not a fan of all-star games.
Watched some of it. Really had no interest, though.
