When the rumor survaced, Micahel Vick tweeted that he was excited about having Favre there so he could learn from him.

Two hours later, the tweet was removed. I'm thinking the Eagles contacted Mike and told him this was dangerously close to tampering.

Just found it interesting that he was all excited and then pulled back the tweet.

so there's no one to "tamper" with. I thought for tampering a player had to be under contract with another team.

You may be right, but even in a regular off season, you can't contact a player until the free agency period begins.

When this all occurred NOBODY was in play. Nobody was allowed to discuss player transactions or movement because the free agency period was dormant.

Either way, there's some reason why Vick pulled that tweet in 2 hours.
