Indians score a run while still falling victim to Angel's Ervin Santana's No-Hitter
Edited on Wed Jul-27-11 01:46 PM by charlie and algernon
CLEVELAND -- Ervin Santana pitched the first no-hitter for the Angels in nearly 27 years, striking out 10 and leading Los Angeles over the Cleveland Indians 3-1 Wednesday.

Santana allowed only two runners -- there was an error on the leadoff batter in the first inning and a walk in the eighth.

Santana was in control the whole way while throwing the Angels' first no-hitter since Mike Witt pitched a perfect game on Sept. 30, 1984.

I love these fluky games were there's a no-hitter, but the team being no-hit still manages to get a run.

1. It nearly happened to the Rockies this year
Edited on Wed Jul-27-11 02:19 PM by JonLP24
in fact with your team. The Rockies scored a run on the Marlins with a couple of errors and then Anibal Sanchez took a no-hitter into the 9th but I think the second batter he faced that inning broke it up. He got the next out or two.

Oh BTW--I took a chance and bought Just Cause 2 (largely due to your discription which reminded me of the reviews I've read that caused me to rent it before I had system problems). It is probably the best $20 I ever spent, thanks. Great game! :)

2. The Tribe is fading...
Young club that's been fighting injuries all year. Well, It was fun while it lasted.

Cleveland tried to get Carlos Betran, BTW. Even offered to pay his salary. But Beltran didn't want to come to Cleveland.
