Finally---here comes American Football.....
I expect my Phins to go 7-9 this season and another coaching change at the end of the season.

But I'll still watch the train wreck----cause I loves meeees some NFL---

1. Two parts of the year I look forward to..
the opening of training camps and autumn. One means the NFL and College footbal are on the way and the other means summer is finally over. I hope my Panthers can be more respectable this season however many wins come along.

2. Best part of the NFL season is the earthquake created by Vikings fans jumping off the bandwagon.

7. That heap will be filled to capacity if the Vikes win the opener.
Easily the most fickle fans in football.

4. 7-9?
You're being quite generous to us. With the loss of R+R, and still trying to fill a void at QB, AND we now have to begin searches for better WR, I'd say 6-10 tops. I think we need to dump Sparano though.

6. we have a terrific reciever in Marshall
But no delivery system.

We do have a pretty decent defense and offensive line.

But without a consistant QB....forget about it.

8. Marshall didn't impress me last year
Granted, Henne didn't do much to help him, but we need to stop relying on a single clutch player and expand into a multi-prong offense. I have no doubt we can get a phenomenal running back. We've always been able to get them. Bush certainly brings a bit of credibility to our offense. But we haven't had a stand-out WR since the Chambers/ McMichael era. I have high hopes for B. Marsh, but at the same time, I can't expect too much at this point.

9. They just need to let Henne play 16 games, and see what they have.
If he stinks, hey, high draft pick. If not, first reliable QB since Marino. Everybody wins!

Remember, it's just his fourth year in the league. He's still got time, as long as the coaches stop screwing with his head long enough to let him figure out how to play.

11. Nope---
if it walks like a duck... it's a duck.

Henne simply does not have what it takes to be an effective 1st string QB.

12. It might be a duck...
...or, he may just have had his feet tied together, metaphorically speaking, by a coaching staff so afraid of mistakes that they won't let him play.

Could be either one, and I just don't know yet. This season is where we make that determination. And, is there really a clearly better option?

5. I'll check in sometime in November.
There is far too much else to enjoy on weekends until then!
