Congrats to Jason Isringhausen.....
Earned his 300th career Save last night. Only took him 16 years.

The Mets now have three current/former players who have earned their 300th career save as a Met - Izzy, Billy Wagner, and John Franco.

1. I saw Izzy in a Mets shirt a few weeks ago and was confused
Because I remember him starting with the Mets back in the 90's. It's pretty amazing that he made his way back. Good for him.

3. And as a reward, they're transitioning to Bobby Parnell.
At this point in Izzy's career and the Mets season, though, that's probably the right move.

4. Yeah, allowing Izzy to close for the past few weeks...
was more of a favor from Terry Collins, because Terry wanted to let Izzy get to the 300 save milestone.
I think Parnell was the intended closer all along after they Mets gave away K-Rod.
