Worse, the Big Ten Network is supposed to be showing a replay of the Michigan game (which we missed because we were out of town) and instead, it's Ohio State.

3. What a Saturday, Lisa. You didn't even finish your game.
I've never sat through rain like that at Kinnick. Checking the record books to see if the delay has ever happened. We're doubtful. When play resumed, MAYBE 5,000 fans. It was wonderful. Like a scrimmage. You could hear everything from 50 rows up. 30 years from now it will be like Hendrix at Woodstock. 70,000 Hawk fans will claim they saw the whole deal.

17. I just went onto ESPN and the
front page was UM's uniform front and center, almost gave me a seizure. Title of article was "Quite The Clash" I think they hit the nail on the head with that one even if it was unintentional.

Much like the rain gear Sun Mountain made for the Ryder Cup team. Yes, it got people talking about the Ryder cup, but didn't help the manufacturer.

they're from Under Armour, a Baltimore company, and are based on by far the best of the 48 coterminous state flags:



Any Marylander gets it in a split second. :thumbsup: Now if only they could stop gagging to a scrub defense in the red zone. :eyes:

I don't care if it's a state flag. I'm no fan of Michigan State, but I can't imagine that they would decide to plaster the blue and gold state flag of Michigan on half their helmets.

41. I thought they were great. In fact I sort of called this last Friday
a co-worker said that they would have Terrapin skin design on their helmets and I said - "They should just put the state flag on their uniforms. It would be awesome" and they DID!!!

25. Maryland & Baltimore seem to have the "middle child" syndrome.
Lost in the rest of the bustling East Coast, there they are jumping up and down screaming "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!"

So in that context, the uniforms are perfect. In terms of watching football, they distract from the game. And that's bad.

37. If they'd went with a simpler helmet, they'd be not as terrible.
I mean...it's the state flag...Marylanders are used to that abominable high-contrast patterning. The helmets though. Ouch.

I think if they wanted to go with that uni...they should have chosen two colors (one from the Red/White, one from the Black/Yellow maybe) to use on a simple helmet design.

I think they'd look good with a plain black helmet with red details. Or even just a plain black helmet. I like the jerseys. Not so much the cleats or armpads.
