except that a) the "pitchfork" is actually a trident, the symbol of Neptune, not the Devil; and b) the two-toned numbers?! :wtf:

2. The several different uniforms is too much for me

Trying to be like Oregon and they argue it is to improve recruiting and to increase merchandise sales. The mustard on black helmet actually isn't too bad though I still miss Sparky.

I grew up an ASU fan, as my parents had season tickets, and I watched a lot of games live, but I left the fold when I went to NAU and then moved to Oregon. Still, that game had to be fun to watch. Maybe not quite as fun as the NFL game on Thursday, but there sure was a lot of back-and-forth going on from my AZ friends on facebook...

5. Conflicted rooting interest for me

The black on black uniforms were senseless, considering ASU's standard uniforms are classy and very distinct. The ones last night weren't as offensive as other new atrocities but I was still itchy to root against any team sporting dark on dark. Only the Pac 12 vs Big 12 aspect kept me with the Sun Devils.

Erickson may have pulled out the game but he made a poor strategic choice after the 5 yard roughing the kicker penalty with about 1:30 remaining. You have to go for it on 4th and 1 in that spot, not accept the result of the punt, even if it was downed within the 10.
