KO on the Boston Globe and it's attack on Francona..

Keith Olbermann calls out the Boston Globe for its article blaming the general manager and the former team manager of the Red Sox for the team�s late-season collapse � implying drug use, among other things � without ascribing any real blame to the team�s owners, which includes the parent company of the Boston Globe.

I didn't even know the Globe owned part of the Red Sox. Now I see the reason for the hit piece..

3. The primary blame

lies with the pitcher's ERA of 7.08 in September. The Globe wasn't smearing Francona when the Red Sox went 81-42 over a four month period..

5. The article really slams the pitchers themselves more than Francona...

The media seems to really like Francona...he worked them well, so Keith is blowing out of proportion the blame the artcile gives to Francona..as for myself, I think Francona takes most of the blame...pitchers are goofing off? Whose the guy who should be keeping them in line?
