Should Theo Epstein invite Steve Bartman to throw out the 1st pitch at Wrigley next year?
I read that somewhere today.

He did have Bill Buckner do it in Boston and I think they had a good year. What year was that?

1. It was after they won in 2004, maybe after 2007, I forget.
They had to ask twice.

And no, he shouldn't. The Cubs fans would not welcome it.

4. Buckner made an error. Bartman broke the rules by reaching into the field of play.

Why should he be rewarded for that?

Besides, after he threw the pitch, he'd probably run to home plate, knock the catcher over, and try to catch it himself.

I don't think it was in the field of play. But Bartman shouldn't have reached for the ball.

I think Bartman should have been blown up and not the ball.

9.  No, he needs to find a bar-keep's goat to throw the first pitch.
Maybe have Bartman dress as a goat or have a goat dress as Bartman. Any of these suggestions would be fine with me.
