3. No rain here
I really don't have a horse in that race (yet). I just like watching the Yanks and Sox beat each other up. congrats on the win. It was a great game to watch.

4. Psst
O's are a game within the Sox. Anyhow its odd, if play ended today the Yanks wouldnt make the playoffs and my preseason prediction would be right.

6. if play ended today
it would be a very short season. Just one game out of a wild card spot right now and 1 1/2 games out of first.

7. Yeah its competive
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 02:13 PM by JohnKleeb
I know. Just saying, its past the halfway point and from what I get the feeling watch ESPN, its the Yankees and Sox battling for the division lead, I am used to it though, in a perverse way though I hope the Yankees win tonight so if the Orioles win, theyre tied for first, same thing with Saturday, then Sunday, Ill want the Red Sox to win since by that time if things go the way I want them which they never ever do, the Orioles will have a one game lead on the Yankees who will be in second place, and the Sox will be 1.5 games out, Id rather the Sox chase the Orioles if they had the division lead than the Yanks. I get the feeling that this one wont be decided until the last weeks of the season, Ill be really happy though if the Orioles win at least 81 games since theyve been far better than anyone has said, the fact that were competeting with both the Sox and Yanks for the division lead is something I could have only in my wildest hallucinations imagined at the start of the season.

9. the O's are better than I thought
but they won't win the division. I see the O's finishing with about 87 wins. I think 92 wins will win the division and 90 will get the wild card. I have a feeling both Boston and NY will make the playoffs with Minny, Baltimore and Cleveland just missing. The difference between the O's and NYY will be Giambi's resurgence while Sosa continues to decline.

10. Yeah Sosa agh hes in decline and yeah Giambis been hot
What the Orioles need I think is a good pitcher, I dunno whos gonna be available this off season. I will be honestly content if they win 81 games since they really have outplayed their expectations and maybe finally the sportswriters might give a little respect. Sosa has an RBI tonight which is nice and had one last night, notta a big deal but maybe this experiment with him hitting 2 will be successful.
