Just saw him in Chicago last Sunday ........
One of the best hitters ever but his fielding .......
He turned a single into a triple w/ 2 RBIs .......
although I have seen him make remarkable plays too.

6. It's pretty funny
He leads the league in outfield assists at the plate. Not because he is spiderman in the outfield, but because runners consistently test him, and he has had a lot of chances to help the catcher nail guys at the plate.

Basically, he leads the league in a good stat because he is so bad.

Used to take little mental vacations when he played outfield for
the Indians. Great bat but his glove is a problem.

17. RBIs are a bad statistic
They're more dependant on the runners on base in front of then than any ability of the hitter.

OPS isn't great, but it's a far sight better than RBI.

18. Lets look to more robust stats than RBI
which is more of a team stat.

OPS. On base plus slugging is a much more useful stat. Both Giambi and A-Rod have a 996 ops to lead the league.
