Texas lawyer files lawsuit against MLB for insisting that Astrodome roof..
remain open during World Series.

Her suit claims that fans caught head colds because they were'nt warned that the dome would be open and it was 50 degrees during the two games in Houston. I heard this on the local news and checked The Onion first so I guess it's true.

My 2 cents:
A) Contrary to popular belief, cold weather does'nt cause head colds, viruses cause head colds.

B) 50 degrees is only cold if you're treading water in the middle of the Atlantic ocean.

C) Viruses actually lose their virulence the colder it gets.

D) People who were paying attention knew the dome would be open before the third game. AND

E) I hope Texas has a law to use against this frivolous lawsuit.

1. Here's a problem...
These patrons had to walk to the ballpark from whereever they parked, right? So, they didn't dress for their walk either?

Nice try.

2. I don't have a dog in this fight
But...

50 degree is not cold for someone from Midwest. But 50 degrees is cold if you are use to 100 plus degree weather in Houston. As someone who has experience miltiary life in Saudi and Iraq, I froze my butt off in the plane flying back to California and Hawaii. The other passengers looked comforable.

Also, I hope everyone knows if you move, it helps heat the body up, so those walking into the ballpark weren't as cold as someone sitting in the park.

3. The Astrodome roof does not open.
The Astros haven't played in the Astrodome for some years now, either.

So I'm guessing you misunderstood a few other facts of whatever this case is (I can't find any reference to it. Perhaps you might supply a link?).

Congratulations to the White Sox on a great World Series.

I'm beginning to think you Cardinals fans, OTOH, appear destined to simmer in a bitter stew all the way to a 50-degree springtime.

I got a great idea: why don't you fellas go post something equally stupid on the "Astros have no black players" thread?

4. Maybe he meant the Superdome roof?
It came open during Katrina. The Astrodome roof stayed closed while the evacuees were there. And at all other times, too.

But if they are suing because Reliant was open, I hope they win, just because it I hate Bud Selig and every facist decision that bozo has made. It should have been Houston's decision.

5. Uh-huh
What, still upset that Houston beat the Cards like a red-headed step-child?

7. Why are people assuming this is about the Cardinals?
This lawsuit is just plain silly on it's face. That's just my opinion, and it would be my opinion no matter my team affiliation.
