I am just still bitter about the 4th and 26, and I am tired of hearing about the Eagles after the whole TO thing this summer.

You probably missed that one. Titled something like, "Where are those smug Eagles fans now?"

They have no running game. They will never repeat what they did last year. Fer crissake, the BEARS have the SAME RECORD as the EAGLES. Pathetic.

So I guess the "pathetic" Eagles 4 and 3 record is in good company, eh? :hi:

We've definitely got some MAJOR issues to work out, but there's a lot of games left this season. I personally think McNabb is killing us with the injury. But, calling a team in or out of anything based on 6 or 7 games is just silly. And besides, win or lose I will always support my boys 150% :)

But part of the reason for the existence of this thread were your knocks on the Patriots after just a handful of games, far fewer than six or seven. You even tried to denounce a couple of three point New England wins. The Eagles' 20-17 victory over San Diego was far more fortunate than either of the same margin Patriot wins at Pittsburgh and Atlanta.

Philly has some things going for them, namely the second half schedule. You've already gotten the three tough games against the AFC West out of the way. Five of the last 8 games are at home and two of the remaining road games look like ones Philly should win, at St. Louis and Arizona.

The next three games look pivotal, all against division foes. As much as I've been knocking the Eagles for dodging the running game unlike any top rated team I've ever seen, if the Eagles win two of the next three games they'll be the favorites to win the division, especially since the Giants close with four of six on the road.

Trash-talk is OK unless you are on the recieving end. Then it is boorish and obnoxious. Teams that lose a couple of games early are doomed...unless they are the Eagles.

These are the rules that define this universe. Get to know them. ;)

I'm just saying - and using the same "logic" Patriots fans do (which is, apparently, that teams with 4 and 3 records suck...except for the Patriots of course, even when they were 3 and 3 they were putting down 4 and 2 teams). IMHO from what I've seen here, they're just weak and whiney as fans in general, so it's to be fully expected.

And don't worry about this thread being targeted at me - when the Patriots lose games, they can fully expect this trash talking from me. I think this will happen all season though - when we lose I'll be on the receiving end. I'll tell you this though: when the Patriots lose this year, there will be many more people than myself laughing at it. So it really isn't that big of a deal. It's called trash-talking, and it's part of the game; no biggie. :) And besides, Will Pitt is hardly someone who has one-tenth of the wit and sting he likes to think he does, so it doesn't bother me too much.

Anyway, yes it sucks. I really think McNabb needs his surgery. My Dad just had surgery to fix a hernia and he said those things are really PAINFUL. He said even if you just get out of bed too quickly you need to stop because the pain is so intense. I don't blame McNabb for being in pain and being off his game, but I do blame him for not realizing he's hurting the entire team.

But it won't stop me from doing it. :evilgrin: And I doubt that, even though calling out the Eagles is equally stupid, anyone else will stop doing it when we lose. It really isn't that big of a deal - I was just pointing out that the Eagles and the Patriots are tied in terms of W-Ls.

It's called being a sports fan. Trash talking is part of the game. If it bothers you, I suggest a thicker skin.

...my team sucks, and I sure wish I had the Eagles record. If my team did right now, I'd feel like I was on top of the World. There are various levels. Great, good, above average, average, below average, bad, really bad. The Eagles don't "suck".

The Vikings do suck. So do the Eagles. Only less so (much less so) than the Vikings.
