Notre Dame automatic bid to the BCS
With the loss of VT, Fresno State, and LSU, Notre Dame should be now in the top 6 of the BCS rankings, so that means that they have an automatic bid. Hopefully this will shut up the critics saying that they don't belong, but I doubt it. GO IRISH!!

1. well
while i don't know if you belong, since i don't know shit, this isn't going to change anyone's opinion. all that happened was that other teams lost, not that you won.

again, i have no opinion on the matter, as i have not watched you play, except against usc. just sayin

2. Definitely Virginia Tech is out...
...certainly a game they should have won easily. I can't recall who else they played but they lost to Miami and Florida State. Don't know if they beat anyone good.

No question ND belongs.

3. Virginia Tech
Definitely should've won that game . . . they just decided not to show up until the fourth quarter.

I'm all for Notre Dame getting a BCS bowl.

4. the still have two losses

both at home, including to a non bowl eligible team. Take away Touchdown Jesus, and that team is a eleven. The legend just made Notre Dame 3 million dollars (the difference between the Fiesta Bowl and the other top 6 team that doesn't get a BCS, Oregon (which is, of course, 10-1, with a loss in common to USC). I think the BCS is in trouble this year, at least one top six team (Notre Dame, Oregon and Ohio State, doesn't make a BCS bowl.

5. Another way of looking at that is they WON all their road games!
MSU they didn't show up until late--still should have won. Both losses were by a total of 6 points.

That said, Notre Dame, OSU and Oregon deserve in be in a bowl game. The only 3 of the 6 already assured a spot that deserves it is Penn State. Georgia maybe, but definitely NOT FSU or West Virginia.

There appears to be more controversy now that we have the BCS than before when the polls pretty much decided who went where.
